a. Flex Humboldt
Katie Collender, General Manager of Humboldt Transit Authority (HTA), will present on Flex Humboldt, the on-demand shared ride microtransit currently serving the region.

a. Vision Zero Action Plan Project Update
Senior Regional Planner Stevie Luther will provide an update on the Vision Zero Action Plan Project. The TAC will discuss the results of the demonstration projects.
b. Partnering Assets & Authorities for Comprehensive Transit (PAACT) Project: Revised Drafts of Transit Network Concepts for Ridership vs. Coverage and Draft Survey Questions (encl)
Senior Regional Planner Oona Smith will present the revised drafts of Transit Network Concepts and draft survey questions, and request input from the TAC.
7. HCAOG Executive Director and Staff Reports
This item is reserved for matters that the Executive Director or staff may wish to report on. Topics this month will include the following:
a. Reminders:
- NCE Consultants will be attending the November TAC meeting to discuss treatment strategies. Please be prepared to discuss the pavement maintenance and rehabilitation decision tree for your jurisdiction.
- Sustainable Transportation Planning Grants are due on October 9th.
- September is Transit Month with several events being organized by transit advocates. HCAOG is co-sponsoring a public talk titled “Protecting transit’s role in multi-racial inclusive democracy” on Thursday September 10th from 5:45 – 6:45 pm at the McKinleyville Family Resource Center.
- Humboldt Commons is organizing a fundraiser on September 10th at Fieldbrook Winery to support construction of a sidewalk and bike trail along Hiller Rd. in McKinleyville.
b. Updates:
- 30-day notice: HCAOG Transportation Development Act (TDA) Rules revisions will be brought to the TAC at the October meeting. Revisions include but are not limited to increasing the reserve amount for the 2% Bike and Ped Fund.
- Redwood Coast Energy Authority’s Draft Memorandum of Understanding for the Regional Climate Action Plan (encl)
- Safe Routes to School Feasibility Study
- SAFE Callbox Updates and Knightscope Contract
- Carbon Reduction Program Updates
